The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in a California Car Crash

Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in California at the age of 55.

His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The influential game designer lost his life when his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, according to.

"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, his family, and everyone impacted by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
